The Epic Tale of OBGYN
We have such a long history together...dating back to the Crusades, but I think its best to say we've been officially together since March, 2003. We're all hardcore highschool chics, with buff bods and big brains. Yeah buddy, eat this up, cos it aint no bullshit! 4/5ths of OBGYN attend the respectable Jack Britt HS, while the odd man out lives 40 minutes away and goes to the semi respectable Pine Forest HS. We all have our passions in life, one is to have a band called OBGYN and to work the streets of Idaho. Them mofos in the middle america know how to be crazy. We're in the 'downloading' stage (just getting started, not finished yet) But give us some time...I mean, if it took No Doubt 9 years to have their first single out, I think we can take it easy.~~~KaT

*UPDATES*
03/04/04 ~~~ Ok heres the update on the shizz...We played at studio 48, shawns house, and Double Bougeys since our last entry in this fine piece of website. Some of the memebers have even had the chance to talk to other bands about OBGYN as well ( such as the Casualties,a Global Threat, & Big D and the Kids Table..) Right now we're working on a few new songs...actually we have quite a few new songs. We're also trying to get shirts done and made. Hopefully we can make a good solid 4 song ep ASAP...hmm....We dont really have too many shows up and coming so if you want to book us, email us or drop a line in the guestbook
01/25/04~~~Sorry about the delay in updates but my computer's had a virus. Well, we've played a couple shows since the site was last updated but the best was definitely at the Temple in Danville, VA on the 17th. We played with the Semantics and ATD (Both which kickass!!) and it was great show. We have new merch on the way and we're in the process of lengthening our set. We've got new songs and new shows coming up, so make sure you check out the shows page.
10/16/03~~~We won the Battle of the Bands!! So we're playing at the finals at Yakety Yak on the 30th. On the 31st we're playing at a private party and the Big Apple. On November 9th, we're playing some punk show at Jesters. We have new buttons, and stickers should be on the way. They recorded us at the Battle of the Bands, so we'll be able to get our recording really soon and I'll try to put it on the site when I get it. Thanks to everyone who isn't ignorant and doesn't judge us before they've even heard us!! Mad love!
9/18/03~~~Damn hurricane ruined the 18th show. It was cancelled but I think it's rescheduled for the 25th so keep you calender open on that day. I'll update when it's confirmed but for now I'm almost sure. Sorry to disappoint those who were actually going to go!
9/16/03~~~Wow, we don't update very often. Well I have good news and bad. What do you want first? Good news? ok WE GOT BUTTONS!!! YAY, and we have some homemade patches and in the near future we'll have stickers. We'll be selling these at the show, which leads me to the bad news. There might not be a show, because of the fuckin' hurricane. But as of now it's still on and hopefully the hurricane will die. I'll keep you posted. oh yeah and we have a bunch of new songs, finished or being worked on so maybe there'll be a cd sometime soon. *Wendy*
7/29/03~~~Hannah got back from her month long trip in NY, YAAAY! We missed her alot....now all we need is another OBGYN party, hmm...anyways OBGYN went to the warped tour yesterday (minus hannah she had to spend time with the folks) we enoyed the KICKASS bands and the crowd, we also promoted our band by handing out homemade patches and cards (aww, we're ghetto) I think from now on we should take stuff like that whenever we go to shows like that. And we saw eve 6 a couple days ago and they asked if we had a demo :) but we didnt....:( ....but we will soon, hopefully. ~KaT...we're praciticing all week, ahhggg NEVER A DAYS REST
6/25/03~~~~No more shows for awhile, Hannah and Heather are gone *tear* This dude is working on a new site for us that should be a shit load better and we'll be able to put our music and pics and all on there. And once everyone gets back and we get alot of practice in, we will begin recording. Yay
6/1/03~~~We've played 3 Open Mic's @ Jesters so far, and one Lumberton show. This Thursday, and probably every Thursday until we start getting weekend gigs, we'll be playing Jester's Open Mic. And don't forget Kat's B-day Party (We're playing), this Friday!!!! (June 6th) Make sure you come out and bring all your friends. And Happy Birthday to Kat tomorrow!!
5/20/03~~~Practice at Kats house today went really well, and we are going to be so much better this Thursday @ Jesters( we just needed to get our first show out of the way) and Monday @ Bill Sapp Center! Soon we might make stickers and MAYBE cd's (in time for the June 6th show) MAAAAYBE. And I (Kat) was thinking...instead of being 'angry feminist music' I think we're more of a "Tuff Chics Music" band, I don't know...Im blabbing
5/14/03~~~We're playing at Jester's tomorrow, and Kat should be scanning the pics soon, so expect more shit.
4/29/03~~~Yay!! Hannah's back from NY!! We missed her! Hopefully we'll be practicing this Friday with everyone, and don't forget our show on June 6th at Kat's house!!!
4/21/03~~~I saw the Easter Bunny last night, and I lived to tell the tale.
4/15/03~~~~Practice went super today!! "We're in a band, and it's WACKY!!!" *Tasha* We got our "No Motivation" song down pretty good, and we're even resurrecting the "I Hate You" song and making it better. This is Wendy, signing off.
4/13/03~~~ We were supposed to have band practice, but it didnt work out. But Kat and Wendy practiced together and got the idea for a cool cover song we could do.(Misfits "Halloween") and Wendy, Heather, and Tasha practiced later on in the day. Our next practice is Tuesday, but I dont think Kat can come 'cos shes getting her SPACERS!!! ow.(shit, I just remembered that...this is Kat typing btw. damnit, maybe I can go after the appointment...) House of a 1000 Corpses is great, but now I need Jesus. hah.
